Student Advisor

Review the job description for a Student Advisor. A number of the underlined keywords have links to interview questions for that keyword or job function.

Duties:  Represent and advocate for the Educational Talent Search program at target schools and in the community.  Provide academic, career, financial aid, and post secondary admission counseling to student participants.  Conduct monthly workshops on relevant topics and coordinate cultural or academic field trips. Maintain student records.  Monitor student progress and advise students as needed. 

Qualifications:  Associate Degree.  Bachelor degree preferred.  Excellent human relation skills.  Experience working with young adults and/or adolescents preferred.  Knowledge of Federal Trip Programs preferred.  Experience using Internet and e-mail.  Ability to learn database programs.
